Knowing the Signs of Cheating

You need to know the signs of cheating to help determine if your significant other is cheating on you. It may mean your very life if you're unknowingly exposed to HIV or STDs. You also need to know the signs of cheating for your emotional well-being.
There are warning signs that should alert you to a cheating partner, but sometimes we don't pay attention to those signs. For one thing, we don't want to admit that we're married to a scoundrel who has lost all focus about what's important in a relationship - mainly trust.

Several types of cheating can wreak a marriage or relationship. Online cheating on porn sites is rampant today and there are also online sites designed for "cheaters" to meet others. Some of these cheating rendezvous are strictly for physical gratification, while others may incorporate a more emotional involvement.
Whether the affair is physical or emotional - it's still cheating. Before acting on telling your partner about the signs of cheating that you're observing, take into consideration what the outcome will be if what you suspect is true. You may want to see a counselor by yourself to formulate a plan that's the least emotionally and physically draining for you.
Some signs of cheating that you should be aware of are:
• Marked decrease in time spent with you. If you spouse is involved in an affair, he or she will be spending more time on the phone, online or actually being with the other person.
• Appearance changes. Your partner may suddenly be consumed with his appearance, buying new clothes, changing a hair style or perfume.
• Spending habits. Are you noticing more credit card receipts for dinners and lunches or for unusual expenditures such as flowers or jewelry? These could be signs of a cheating partner.
• Increase in office hours. If your partner suddenly has an increase in time spent at the office or out of town, it could be a red flag that indicates cheating.
Remember that just because a schedule changes or more time is spent on the computer isn't definite proof that your spouse or partner is cheating on you. You'll need to conduct a more thorough investigation to get actual evidence.
Also keep in mind that if you confront your partner with your suspicions, he or she will likely not admit to an indiscretion. It's always best to know the signs of cheating, watch for them and then go forward with a plan to gather undeniable truth before presenting your suspicions.
